Isn’t it hypocritical of Chinese communists to swindle the poorest western consumers with low quality goods?

For instance, most of the products they export are often quite shoddy and usually are made from inferior quality materials and parts that tend to break or wear out quickly. These products are cheaply priced only because the Chinese workers are little more than ill paid slaves forced to work long hours on factory production lines to serve the ‘glorious’ party. Their vast supply of cheap labour also causes a fall in market share and production of goods by western factories and therefore job losses for workers in these nations, also detracting from the ’liberation of the workers’ ethic which is the supposed virtuous core of socialism/communism. These circumstances actually denigrate the conditions in which western workers subsist since they have to work for less money to attempt to compete or just lose their jobs altogether.
I thought the whole concept of a ‘people’s revolutionary party’ and of communism/socialism was to eliminate this type of exploitation of the workers and to actually improve their lot by liberating them from the worst aspects of capitalism! (Selling inferior products to the worst paid of workers, since they are those most likely to buy these cheaply priced products, being an example indicative of the worst form of capitalistic greed).
The Chinese communist government are claiming to be leading a more open and consumerist nation, but I believe that by giving their people minor cultural freedoms that they are merely engaging in a temporary ruse to encourage and engage western governments as trading partners until their ultimate goal has been achieved, which is the same goal as every fascist dictorship- complete global domination.
If this is their way of re-enginering the ‘domino-theory’ and taking control of the world economy with the conclusion being to install a one world government under communist party rule, then the future looks bleak, especially since the governrments of the west surely are aware of the entire scheme, if not actively engaging in and promoting it too.
Thanks for all of your answers so far. I didn’t know the ‘plan’ had a timeline that stretched into the past for so long!
Someone once told me that JFK had entered into negotitations with China attempting to get the Chinese citizens some more freedoms and Mao simply responded to him, ‘Alright then, how about I give all of them passports?’ After which JFK stopped his requests.
As a rebuttal, to ‘oy’ – the point I’m trying to include is that the poorest of workers in the west who need an item usually must always purchase the cheapest, which is where the stranglehold of the Chinese products enters the market at its most poignant location.
In hindsight, maybe it’s better that we lose our sovereignty this way rather than have done to us what their army did in Tianamin square!
If the global economic crisis worsens and all trade freezes then I believe they will use military force to take the raw materials they previously imported.

You get what you pay for. If people are dumb enough to buy junk more than once because its cheap they probably deserve it.

hotpink – We have Clinton to thank for NAFTA.
